Global Carbon Levels

This is bad. Really bad. With this graphic we can begin to see who produces the most carbon in the world, and the United States is near the top. As such it is imperative that we reduce our energy consumption to reduce carbon production.

Per capita the U.S. produces nearly 18 tons of carbon dioxide. This is nearly 9 times the accepted limit on carbon per capita. Yes, that is right 9 times the amount. Currently the accepted limit is around 2 tons per person. Currently we are at 4.5 tons per capita in the world.

There must be a global shift towards zero carbon immediately, especially in developed / industrialized nations, such as the U.S. We must get to below 2 tons per capita.
